Wow three posts in one day? Haha anyway, I recently finished two short anime series that have nothing to do with each other. Let's start of with Black Blood Brothers, a series I watched dubbed on demand that ran for 12 episodes.

Doesn't he look like Carmen San diego and Vincent's child O-o?

Black Blood Brothers is a vampire anime staring, of course, two "brothers" name Jiro and Kitaro. The pair spend the whole anime trying to find a way to live in peace with help from a human by the name of Mimiko. I myself found the whole plot a bit on the lame side, it wasn't the best writing I've ever seen. Often times I was completely lost at what the brother's goal was and why people were attacking them. However, what this show lacked in plot it made up for (well almost) in some pretty cool main characters. Or at least...cool enough. Comparing the characters of this anime to other animes would make them seem almost cookie cutter-like so I won't do that. My favorite characters were the two main characters themselves, Jiro and Kitaro. They had a really interesting relationship and had charming looks a personality which is all a good character really needs. Together their best trait is that they are both strong-willed and can take care of themselves. (Then again Jiro is always saving Kitaro but that's just because he's young -w-) Mimiko on the other hand seemed like more of a generic character and, quite frankly, an unconvincing love interest. She didn't seem to have much chemistry with Jiro and the whole "vampire bite-sex" scenes bugged me because of it.

As far as vampires go I guess the vampires in this anime were so-so...the only ones that really annoyed me were the ones that were zombie-like and turned into dust when they died. I also didn't like any of the vampire villians cause they were villians for cliche reasons like killing people they feed off of.

My ultimate favorite part of this show is its awesome, but depressing ending theme. It's visuals and the song are both effective and make me sad every time (I now have the song on my ipod). However, the opening I skipped every time.

Ok, the BIGGEST flaw of this series is it's ending because THEIR WAS NONE! Nothing was resolved at the end of this series and it ended out of nowhere. The villian wasn't defeated and Mimiko and Jiro found no solution to Jiro's blood issues! It's like the creators were like "Oh yeah we'll have a sequel for sure!" but the thing is this series isn't popular enough to have a sequel so the ending will remain unsatisfying!

This is why I give Black Blood Brothers a mere 6 out of 10 because it just left me saying "that's it?" =_=

And now for a WAY more popular series that almost everyone watched this season, K-ON which ran for 13 episodes and gained many fans. This series was a cute slice-of-life / comedy anime that I LOVED! Seriously reviewing this anime would be kinda boring because there are very few problems I have with it! Instead of a review I'll just talk about some things I loved about this show:

The music: EVERY bit of music from this show was epic! I loved the energetic opening which I used to wake myself up in the morning, the ending with it's AMAZING visuals and rock-ish tune, and even the character's image songs I recently downloaded. However, Don't Say Lazy, the ending, will always be my favorite song from the show because...well:

LOOK AT THEIR FREAKIN AWESOME OUTFITS <3 haha no I loved the song itself~

Characters: I totally struggled to pick my favorite character of this series but after it all I'd say I would go for the cute main character Yui (I really wanna cosplay as her!) As for second and third place I really loved Azusa and Mio for their personality and looks respectively. (BTW in the above picture Azusa isn't there X_X)

Scenes: Ummm well there were many scenes that I loved in this show but the one that stands out the most in my mind is the addictive castanet scene from the beginning of the show, staring Yui. It's the cutest scene from the show, in my opinion, and I have it favorited in youtube. Anything with Ui and Yui's past also had the tendency of being adorable as well.

Ending: Techinically this anime kinda had two endings: one was a big concert finale and the second was a small special showing a bit more of the girls outside lives. I loved both of these endings for different reasons. The first one gave the viewer a feeling of victory and happiness because the girls had come so far and were finally playing together at "their Budokan." The second one acted as more of a epilogue showing you that the girls lives as musicians are far from over and that they'll continue to practice together and be friends (sequel foreshadowing?) It was like action-y episode vs. extreme slice-of-life and I enjoyed them both to the fullest.

I give K-ON 10 out of 10 because O_o well there was nothing wrong with it and it did really well with what it had!

Hey there hi there ho there <3 I just realized that  I have yet to review the game Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World for the wii. Now, I already talked about why this game is awesome in another post so I'll just talk about the ending and some final thoughts in this post so: SPOILER ALERT! ^_O

Alright, so just to review a little bit Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World is a sequel to a gamecube game released in 2004. I started playing it last fall and posted a entry about how I loved the new games graphics, characters, and voice acting. These positive bits of the game stayed great to the end and my favorite new characters remain as Emil (both sides) and Alice. These characters I loved until the end because their designs were just so freakin COOL! This is Alice:

Note the whip...sadists ftw

And this is Emil:

Who has a sexy split personality ^_^

Now Marta, Decus, and Tenebrae were also great but these two newbies stood out for me the most and definitely sit high on my "Tales of Popularity" chart.

Now anyway onto the ending of the game itself. I had SO MUCH FUN finishing this game because I used the multiplayer option for the final bosses. I had to fight Richter, Alice, Decus, and Aqua a couple times I believe but I had a ton of fun doing it and I think it turned out to be pretty easy in the end. I fought as Marta, Tess as Emil, and Coady as Zelos and Genis and our final strategy worked very well. We sorta took turns using our hi-ougis and I focused on healing with the help of PC controlled Raine. The end of the game...was very bittersweet at first, with Emil being locked away but of course in the end we got our standard happy ending with him being reunited with Marta. I enjoyed the epilogue and the kiss that Marta and Emil had (off screen -_-) before the final battles and all in all it was a very cute way to close the game.

The credits were really touching as well as it showed little picture frames on the wall with beautiful artwork of characters of the game playing around and relaxing. It was a little depressing though because they kept showing dead characters along with the live ones. (or ARE they dead? O-o)

Anyway, I give this game a 9 out of 10 because it lacked a little in the extra content tales games have (costumes and interesting sidequests) but was awesome in every other section!

Oh Manga mention part RIIIIIGHT~ Forgot to mention the manga mention hahaha XuX well ya, so today I was reading a shoujo manga by Arina Tanemura called The Gentleman's Alliance Cross and she wrote a side-collumn thingy about tales of legendia OoO I was like "WOAH bonus points for u right there Arina" haha I was just glad that some famous manga author is a tales fan, here's the column:

ummmm not that u can read it =w=;;;

Death Week has Ended! Who is responsible OoO??

Hello everybody, normally I just right about myself and my hobbies but last week I definitely had a lapse into reality when there was an astounding amount of celebrity deaths from June 22-28:

Ed Mcmahon: RIP June 23, 2009

Farrah Fawcett: RIP June 25, 2009

Micheal Jackson: RIP June 25, 2009

Billy Mays: RIP June 28, 2009

The last two were perhaps the most shocking to me as they were completely unexpected whereas Farrah had cancer and Ed was...old. Anyway, this was all really sad but also kinda spooky because they all died one after the other, all really well known people! This makes it even more depressing because it's difficult for America to mourn everyone at once and one death undermines the other. I think we should give each of these deaths equal respect and definitely remember each person for the good things they gave to America.

Also, many people seem to be tempted to make jokes about this situation and it may be "too soon"...but I can frankly see why people wanna make light of so many deaths at once. It's creepy! So without further a do:

Possible Suspects of All these deaths:

KIRA! Hey these people could've easily pissed him off with his constant TV viewing.

Shinigami-sama! He could've easily asked one of his students to capture the souls of these celebs.

The Johnny Taker! Hey it could happen...maybe not with Farrah but the ones that didn't die of cancer? All men right?

Ummm...Anyone in the picture...because they can.

Who do YOU think could be responsible for death week? Feel free to hand over more suspects!

Day two of my video game filled summer posts shall be about my latest guilty pleasure: Endless Ocean for the Wii. Normally, I wouldn't buy such a casual game but I saw so many reviews for it and posts on forums saying "This game is SO relaxing and will always put a smile on your face" that I had to check it out for myself. The game, which I thought would be stupid when I first saw it, is not so much a game but a simulation of scuba diving all from your comfy couch. (Or not comfy I wouldn't know XD)

The game has an almost nonexsistant plot and most of it is just taking relaxing dives into the Manoa Lai ocean. These are so relaxing because the game has the prettiest music and graphics and there's no time limit or real goal (unless you decide to give scuba diving tours). I spend most of my dives taking photos of fish and feeding them. Also, you are given the option to dive with and tame dolphins which you can ride on...although they kinda just swim in circles -_-;

Of course there are, I guess, edgier parts to the game in "The Abyss" which includes really dramatic music, sharks, and HUGE whales that pop out of nowhere and scare the heck out of me. (Luckily, you can't get eaten.) Also, if you get sick of the games music you can also make the game wicked dramatized by listening to your own mp3s. Tip: listening to Sephiroth's theme while swimming 100kms under the water to find a huge sperm whale makes for fun times ^_O.

So, anyway, this post wasn't supposed to be a review but an update on the game because today I had a really eventful dive into the abyss and this other passage I can't remember the name of. And this is where I found TA-DA a Whale Shark! The world's largest fish. I was wicked excited because usually in the game you just see tiny fish but this thing was HUGE and I got to ride it! I dubbed him Mr. Whale Shark (I know right? Creative, huh?) and attempted to get some photos of him which was easier said than done. Here are the "gems" I got:

that's me in the corner ^__^ he was too huge to get a good photo of
This is his eye which was really tiny so it was hard for me to find :3 he's cute tho!

Haha I'm a nerd but I tell ya I really think this game would be great for an aspiring marine biologist cuz it's very accurate in depicting it's fish.
Oh! I also got a photo with some penguins in which Mr. Whale Shark's in the background:
Ya...I couldn't get his head...the penguins kept zipping past me and were also hard to capture so this is pretty good as far as penguin photos go.

Ok, the next part of the game that was exciting was when I went to this sorta...whale graveyard filled with bones and saw some really ancient and creepy fish one of which is famous in animal crossing (not to mention the real world) and is none as a "living fossil"

Ummm...yeah that's the goblin shark. Probably the ugliest fish in the game. They exsist though I looked it up on youtube and yech they're creepy. They're supposively ancient but not the living fossil :/
Here it is! Coelcanth for the win. Photos of the real coelcanth suggest they're ugly but I thought the game version had pretty eyes o-o; This guy was right next to the shark just kinda swimming in circles.

The final eventful thing that happened to me today in Endless ocean was on the ship I saw a HUGE walrus that scared the crap outta me because it was like 4 times bigger than me (a line from 50 first dates popped into my head for a second but never mind that...) I didn't name him but got his photo nonetheless:

ummm are their tusks really THAT long?! O-o

Yes, so that was my day in endless ocean today...it was pretty magical. When I was with Mr.Whale Shark Amazing Grace randomly started playing in the game and at the end of the track this weird guy starts mumbling in some foreign language. At first I didn't think it was part of the song and was like "Woah! Whose talking to me?!" but there was no one there so...Oh here's a photo of me btw:

I'm in the suit not the life jacket...that's Katharine, she's wicked annoying -_-

Here's a video of that goblin shark, eww:

And here's a sample of some of the game's music:

Father's Day: the animal crossing way =D

Happy Father's Day everybody! Yeah so, in the REAL world father's day was mostly uneventful for me...I made sure my dad was happy and watching soccer (which he loves) but I lost the card I made him and so it felt sort of empty. Fortunately animal crossing is a very understanding game and when you have three different versions of it you get tons of daddy day fun.

I started out with Animal Crossing for the DS and got a card. Also, for the occasion, I dressed up in military gear because it reminds me of my dad. Sadly, while I was playing on my DS it kinda broke and know I can't close it (long story) looks like I'm aiming for a DSi now...

(I hope that's readable enough...it's hard to get a good photo with my DS)
The flower adds a feminine touch dontcha think?

There was also a Bug-off going on today and I think I might of won it but I'm not sure...we shall see. Anyway, next I played the gamecube Animal Crossing because I knew there was a fishing tourney and I wanted to catch the largest bass before someone else did. After succeeding to do so I checked my mail and there was the second letter for the day from dear old, imaginary, dad. How nice:

It's not really fair you can't write back...it makes me feel like a jerk of a daughter
And another thing...foofaraw? What the heck does that mean!? *looks it up* :

Foofaraw
n.
1. Excessive or flashy ornamentation

2. A fuss over a trifling matter

Hmmm I'm still not sure what fake-dad's trying to say but it looks like I just learned a new word...I should use it tomorrow...foofaraw. I guess it's similar to frou frou.

ANYWHO, back from that tangent I also took a photo of me and my neighbors at the pond:

That rhino in the corner is a new neighbor...he's quite edgy.

Last but certainly not least I celebrated one of the first holidays I ever have celebrated in Animal Crossing City Folk for the wii and I finally made use of an SD card. I was excited because it's so annoying having to take pictures of a TV screen. Now this was a lot less eventful because there was no tournament going on and all I got was another card. I was a little disappointed at the shortness of the card but it came with some really pretty flowers which made up for that <3

BAM! Nice, sorta, HD photo of the brief letter...the pun's KINDA clever T_T
And there is me with the lovely flowers he sent me (it's raining just like in real life T_T)

So, yeah clearly animal crossing characters are terrible runaway children with no respect for their parents. In fact, the way they live with animals kinda makes them seem like suspicious social recluses. If there are more animal crossing games in the future I demand the option to write to my family and possibly even see them...but please don't make another 3 is enough X___X

Anyway, I hope your father's day was more eventful than mine and I hope your dad (if you have one) had an awesome day as well. ^_O I'm off to bed cause it's midnight.

P.S. props to youtube, gaiaonline, and google for being festive as always ^-^

Anime FINISH Eden of the East <3

This ending reminded me so much of catcher in the rye especially since they mentioned the golden ring which we had a class discussion about.

Ok! I just finished Eden of the East and it had to definitely be the best show of the season hands down. I also love K-ON but this anime is the best in the drama/action category for sure. It's the perfect length with 11 episodes and will have two movies to follow it up. I say 11 episodes is a good length because number one, I have a short attention span and number two, they used the episodes so well. They were able to successfully jam pack each episode with mystery, drama, and the occasional laugh. There was no point in the show where I went "what was the point of that?" Well...except maybe the acid trip parts...

Reasons I loved Eden of the East:

-The characters were colorful while still being believable the main character managed to be badass without having an outlandish appearance and the secondary character (apparently I'm very bad with names :P) wasn't over the top cute or sexy as anime characters tend to be and yet she was lovable nonetheless. All the characters were clever and opinionated and created realistic conflict that was really enjoyable to watch.

-The locations they used were great! From the very start I was impressed of course because they started in America and ACTUALLY HAD REAL ENGLISH which is so rare in anime. Other than that Akira's shopping mall house had an interesting design and even small locations like the hotel and Pantsu's house really added to the tension or humor of the story. One notable use of Akira's house in the beginning is the image of all the cellphones piled up from the NEETs and Akira having a breakdown in the theater.

-Selecao for the win ^_O woot Brazilian soccer~ haha

-The music and the art, which I would say go hand in hand because the ending and opening both had beautiful and modern music videos to go with them. Other than that the art always seemed to remain movie quality which is definitely an advantage of a short series. Of course I LOVED the music and have it on my ipod. I think this is the first time I've seen a well known band in America do an anime theme and by that I mean the English rock band Oasis. Definitely unique.

The Ending: And so Akira apparently brainwashed himself again to become a prince and the story seems to have gone full circle...time for the movies haha. This last episode had me on my seat hoping nothing bad happened to the protagonists and the missiles flying through the air was an amazing sight. I really liked the use of that gospel-ish song which came from the words on the screen in the opening it made for some very pretty imagery.

I give Eden of the East a 9 out of 10 because I want to see how it fully ends before I can give it a ten ^_O

This opening is just so well made <3

Anime Double Finish! - Maria Holic and Minami-ke

I'm finally making some accomplishments in a year that's been a somewhat dark age ^_^ Instead of watching anime and playing videogames, for example, I've been on wiki sites just reading and reading trivial facts on pop culture. AKA instead of trying things for myself I'm reading about them -sigh- I'm slowly trying to break habits like that and finishing up some anime is a good start!

So first I finished Minami-Ke by watching all of the Okaeri season. I have to say this season was way better than the Okawari, it might've not been as memorable as the original season but I still got my kicks out of many scenes. The ones I remember most were the ones that came early and the ones that came late. The earlier ones I remember involved Chiaki's evil and good side and Hosaka the Curry Fairy. I especially got a kick out of the Curry Fairy scene and now have the song on my ipod. It was also just nice to see Hosaka and Chiaki interact <3

As for the later scene I LOVED the part with Touma's brother learning how to ask for favors. That one had me laughing for a really long time. This scene, I also found on youtube and cherish in my favorites. The creepy smile he makes is just too priceless.

Another interesting thing about this season is their decision to put the Opening half way through the show and the ending a little further from the end then usual. I was kind of annoyed by it at first, truth be told but then it grew on me. I thought it was a good idea because it gives you more of a reason to watch the OP & ED if they're not just bookends. If they're just at the way beginning and way end they're very easy to skip.

I see very little faults in this last season. Most people made fun of the bad animation in their reviews but,,,I didn't notice it at all. If someone has to point bad animation out for me to notice it, I don't think it's much of a problem. The only tiny things I can think of that I didn't like was Haruka in the ending because she looked like a slutty robot and that new character whose voice didn't suit her. I liked the newbie but she didn't get enough screen time and wasn't developed very well.

I give ALL of Minami-Ke a 7.7 out of 10 because it stayed amusing but had its dull moments

Anyway the next anime I went on to finish was the ok series Maria Holic...or is it Maria+Holic?

I'm sorry to say this series really disappointed the heck outta me for the most part. I read the summary and thought the premise was brilliant and that the character design was great (although I thought Mariya really looked like Misa). Then I saw who was making the series and the opening and thought this series was going to be as good as Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.

Well~ I was right about the opening and character design those things continued to impress me 'til the end. However, this series is FAR from Zetsubou level greatness. Most of the jokes and side characters didn't do it for me at all! Also, the SHAFT-style went completely overboard at times with art changes every 0.2 seconds that drove me nuts. Kanako, as well, was a little annoying at times. I can totally see how she could be appealing from a fanboy point of view but she had little personality besides being a pervert.

One more thing I didn't like before I move on...the show didn't flow very well. Some side characters wer forgotten about and or were pretty pointless. The show tried to create some sort of plot but it normally just dissolved into Kanako's fantasies and such.

ANYWHO! This show definitely wasn't a total loss and I liked a couple things about it. As I've already said the opening was one of my favorites in awhile. Stunning and artistic, catchy and symbolic it's one of the things that got me into the show. Second was some of the characters, in particular Mariya, Matsurika, and God. First of all, traps are always great in my book and sadistic traps are even better! From Mariya's controlling ways and Matsurika's emotionless backup came some of the best scenes in the show. God, however, is kind of a different type of funny. I think God's humour came from just what a creative, weird character she was. She was adorable in bother appearance and vocals but also mysterious enough to be creepy. I'm really wondering what her creator has planned for her and if she even has a back story O_o

The last two episodes were suprisingly funny in my opinion and I'm glad the series ended on a funny, yet abrupt, note. I really loved the priest character and the loincloth joke cracked me up "Swim suits SUCK Loinclothes are the BEST!" 8D haha

I give Maria Holic a 6.9 out of 10 hmmm that seems harsh but it really did disappoint me

Main Character Milk who inexplicably drool a lot!
WOOT! I finally finished Super Milk-Chan, one of the weirdest series I've seen so far. I stumbled upon Super Milk Chan because SO many people claimed it the "Worst Anime Ever." WELL of course I had to see if those people were right. So, were they? NOT. AT. ALL. Whoever said Milk-Chan was the worst anime obviously hasn't seen some terrible generic animes (like Mermaid Melody) and I suppose weren't even counting the God awful genres like Yaoi and Hentai (well I can see them not counting hentai but whatever.) In fact I had a lot of fun watching this series and I believe I can add it to my guilty pleasure list write under Twilight.

Of course, this series wasn't the BEST but it definitely wasn't the worst I have seen. I really liked the art and the characters and some of the jokes were funny. I happened to watch the sub and the dub and they both had their pros and cons. As for voices I would have to say the English ones were better but the Japanese ones were still very entertaining.

Pros:
-Nice art, displaying different kinds of art with "vintage" episodes and more cleaned up episodes, art parodies as well
-Random in a good way, In the Japanese I really liked the line "Those who control ramen control the world, shut up I'll beat you up"
-Funny parodies and references in both, the furby was weird though
-Hanage, hahaha funniest character in my opinion and he constantly broke the fourth wall so I felt like he was my friend XD
-"YOU DUMBASS" and "WILL YOU SHUT UP?!" and "BAKATSURA!" I dunno...Milk's yelling is just randomly entertaining especially at her age
-Dr. Eyepatch, he had a very sexy voice and his constant insults and sketchy nonsequiter amused me

Cons:
-Repetitive lines such as...well what the robo dog said and Tetsuko's "Papa de wa arimasen" or whatever. These got a little annoying
-Vulgarity, besides the usually swearing some episodes just got kinda gross. As an example, the cat and the president of everything O.o
-the fact that I could never cosplay as Milk cause I'm too tall ;_;

Anyway, besides the actual show the English version had little parts on the DVD for the voice cast to put on a little reality show thing. For the most part it wasn't very funny but that doesn't mean it was a bad idea. It allowed them to kinda lampshade the more ridiculous parts of the show and we got to see the faces of the people backstage. I gotta say, they were a good lookin crew. Good job guys!

I give Super Milk-Chan a 7 out of 10 because it's still gotta go under guilty pleasures (hey not bad for the "Worst anime ever")

YAY! I've finally finished Crescent Moon and although it only had 6...CRAP! I forgot one in the photo! haha -FAIL- oh well ^_^;; pretend volume 5 is there ok?

Anyway, even though there were only 6 volumes it took me a really time to buy the whole series because, well, I didn't really like it so I wasn't really motivated. This is a manga that I wanted to like but just couldn't. The story was very predictable and pretty generic and the characters were so-so. However! I did really enjoy the art and thought it was very unique. I especially liked the way she drew the character's eyes because it added so much life and expression to them. Some of the character designs were a bit iffy such as that green haired character on the cover of volume 4...err Misoka. I kept forgetting whether...it...WAS A BOY OR GIRL?! See I can't even remember now! I think she might be a girl but I thought she really looked like a boy and didn't want to believe it. It's not like she ever wore a dress or anything.

The monster designs were ok but I really didn't like the "Tengu." What's a tengu anyway?! They didn't really explain it but he was just ugly with that HUGE nose. Or maybe that was the point? Oh well.

The plot of this manga was one of those "We have to find ____ with the chosen one and save _____" type deals. It was all very confusing but I didn't really care what was going on in the story, I was more interested in the purdy art. I think my favorite character was the main one sure, sure there was a grumpy outcast male character but for some reason he just didn't do it for me. The main character was just so likable and had a nice design. Another character that sticks out in my mind (but I can't name XD) is that girl with the long dark hair. She had a really adorable relationship with the werewolf guy...I think his name was Akira :D

Ending: Hmmm it had a typical happy ending, ending but I think it could've been better. I would have preferred one of the relationships becoming more developed in the end. MOAR FLUFF!

I give Crescent Moon a 6 out of 10 - because buying it became a chore instead of something to look forward to D= sorry

Hahaha misleading picture! Oh well. I liked that opening and that character ^_^ and no she's not gay >_> like I said...misleading.

Anyway the reason I chose this picture instead of one of the regular ones is because it's from the first opening. Well, that is, a variation of the first opening. ANYWAY, the openings and endings of vampire knight and vampire knight guilty are definitely going to be what I remember the most of this...pretty anime. I say pretty because, although visually appealing, this anime began to bore the crap outta me by the end of season one. Although, knowing this anime was popular *shallow reason* I suffered through season 2 and I don't COMPLETELY regret it. It had some things that I liked...I suppose. I liked Zero...and~ Shiki...and that cute pigtail girl that I can't remember her name @_@ oh well! The plot was...predictable and not much really happened in the show altogether.

Things I DIDN'T like about this show mostly came from Kaname and Zero's twin, Ichiru. Mostly Kaname though, I mean SERIOUSLY?! He wins? I hated him! He was so boring, his personality was non-exsistant, and when Yuuki found out they were siblings he was just like "yeah but whatever, right?" ANNOYING >:o and Ichiru was just ugly and weird >_> especially the flashbacks with lil Zero and Ichiru...what was that?! I was like "Oh COME ON little boys do NOT cuddle like that!" Also, with Kaname, there were a bunch of scenes with him with a rose, with his shirt off, or just doing random fanservicey things where I was like "BOOOO cliche man~" =w= I dunno he just doesn't do it for me.

What I did like was number ONE DEFINITELY the two lovely endings and the imagery in them. Especially the puppet and the butterfly. I have both on my ipod and listen to them constantly. I also liked, as I've said, Maria, Zero, and Shiki/pigtail girl. I think the latter were just a really cute pair and I like stoic characters so I was lovin Shiki. Zero I like for obvious reasons, good looking, rebel-ish, and has a good heart (?) and then there's Maria who I loved before and after she was...uh possesed? I dunno. Before she was really mysterious and just plain old cool but after she was really cute: the two extremes.

I had mixed feelings about Yuuki (or is it Yuki?) Um number one: I liked her better with long hair, number two: she was a cute kid but I HATED the stupid repetition of "I'm scared vampires will eat me", number three: I really liked the scenes where she was imagining blood everywhere (once again, pretty but not interesting story-wise), and last but not least number four: she was kinda nosy and a playa >_> which is what I didn't like about her...

Ok so overall rating is about: 6.5 outta 10, because a couple characters and music alone can't get u a 7.

This scene was nice TuT

Hey there folks! A couple videogames I'd like to talk about today.

Number one: My new, virtual console copy of "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time." You know, I didn't really get into Zelda until I bought windwaker so I'm kinda a spoiled princess when it comes to graphics. I was kiiiiinnnndddaaa turned off by Link's Ocarina of Time look. His stumpy legs and all that. So after my first time playing this old gem (finishing the deku tree) I left it feeling dissappointed. However! Yesterday I decided to give it another chance and came back to it. It, of course, slowly began to grow on me. It has so many charms that the graphics no longer matter. A couple things I like are the really simple things: the way u can play the ocarina, meeting good ol' Epona, befriending Saria, being able to wear funny masks, all of the cute sidequests, the way that the map is just like Twilight Princess but a couple years in the past, and most of all, this version's Zelda. She's so cute and innocent! I loved her first interaction with Link. They seemed to really connect better as children then as young adults. When their older they seem to just be on formal talking terms and it kinda bugs me. When their little they giggle and scheme together, awww. <3 It kinda reminds me of Syaoran and Sakura's relationship except for the fact that Link's a mute. Anywho, I look forward to obtaining Epona because horseriding happens to be one of my favorite features of the Zelda games.
Now I just wanna meet Sheik.

Number two: Animal Crossing: City Folk! This game, although pretty much the same as the other two, has it's charms in its looks. The landscape and the characters are so well created and the game has such a smooth and relaxed mood to it that playing it makes me feel happier! I especially love the new wig feature and the fact that everything is more realistic (the bank, the city etc.) Once again it's really small and random things that I enjoy. For example, I love the uses of the + buttons pressing up lets u just stare at the sky. This makes up for not having a dual screen and I love it for holidays and starry nights. It just adds some more realism and enjoyment into my gameplay. The other neat thing about the + buttons is that the left and right buttons allow u to pull out tools imediately which just makes u look really cool and is way more convenient than going to ur pockets. The characters also seem more intelligent in this version of Animal Crossing. They stay on topic when u talk to them multiple times and just talk about more sensible things. My neighbor Lilly, for example, couldn't find her keys one day and when I kept talking to her she asked for help looking for them. I mean, it just seems like in the older games one minute they would be telling u about gossip and the next halloween or something! Oh, that's the only flaw I do see in the game by the way. It doesn't celebrate holidays how I hoped it would. I think I might just not be doing the right thing but yesterday nobody mentioned Valentine's day and there was a fishing tournament going on...oh well! That's what the gamecube version is for. I mean they each have their charms right? The GC one has the SNES games, the island, and the cool holidays, the NDS one has the dual screen, good DS to DS fun, and cool little mini games (like the kitty thing and the message-in-a bottle), finally the Wii one has what I've already mentioned: perfection in terms of smooth and pretty gameplay.
P.S. I just discovered KK sings in SSBbrawl too...which is nifty

Number three: Yume Nikki. WOW! This is a game I recently installed and boy does it make me feel...like I'm on drugs or something. It's definitely the strangest game I've played yet. Although, I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be. You play this little girl who apparently lives alone in an apartment building with no exit. There isn't much to do when your awake but when you make the girl fall asleep you can go into her mind through doors that are very reminiscent of psychonauts. Anyway, inside her mind is super surreal and spooky. There are times when your walking and walking through a blank void and ur like "haven't I seen that blob before? Did that I just BLINK?! WHY IS THAT GIRL CHASING ME AHHHH!" =n= yeah. So, the object of the game (it seems) is to collect a bunch of stuff...weird stuff. So far I got a bike, a "severed head" power, a power that makes ur head turn into a stoplight (no joke), and something that turns me into a "snow woman." The freakiest thing that's happened is I was biking down a road (in my mind) and turned around and this monster that SO WASN'T THERE BEFORE was staring at me. I biked past it and it's eye followed me...anyway then I road up to this stormy seen where there was a bloody dead guy who supposedly got hit by a car lying there. I got the stoplight power from that dude....that and some nightmares >_> anyway, if ur excrutiatingly bored and like weird stuff download this game *thumbs up* ^_^
this little girl definitely had some sort of tragic past... >_> <_<

(They say idiots can't get sick...)
Yeah, I have some sort of virus right now. Fever, coughing, sniffles, dizziness, and all that good stuff X_X; It's not very suprising though since about 70% of our school alone has gotten or will get sick this February. February is the month to be sick, definitely. I was sick last February too! Of course...it was more like I had a seizure and was on meds...but ya know, I was pretty much sick! Anyway, one thing I've noticed is that whenever I get sick I'm strangely a lot more productive than when I'm healthy. I get TONS of videogaming, anime-watching, movie-watching, reading, writing, drawing, and talking to my friends done with. Hey, you can do a lot when confined to a bed. One time when I was sick I went through a whole year and a half in Harvest Moon and since days go by fast in Harvest Moon I felt like the whole day had gone by when it was only about 3 hours. Another time I was sick I spent finishing a whole anime series, pita ten and still had time for some crappy naruto filler, that's a whole 13 hours-or-so of anime watching!

This is probably due to the fact that whenever I get sick I'm worried that I'll waste time recovering and try to find as many activities as possible I can do while lying down. I'm also able to enjoy the thought that I can stay up and that I don't have to worry about school or work because sickness is a solid excuse. When I'm not sick I feel stressed out because it's like every moment is precious because of school so I have so many options of things to do with my 3 hours of free time that I normally end up blowing them all off all together!

I guess being sick is like being retired, you're not always in your best health but you still wanna occupy your time with something fun so you end up doing a bunch of stuff the average person wouldn't have time for.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Vol.2 Ch. 10 Fanged Cards part 2

Yeah so here it goes again ^-^; This chapter confused me a little because of the many differences it had from the anime...Is this still season 0? Ok so in this chapter it's very "serious business" again because Yami says there is a penalty game for the shadow game of duel monsters and it's "Similar to death." Kaiba, acting TOTALLY psycho is all like "fun times~" so they duel and of course it's the same old same old. Here's a graph
depicting how Yami wins:

Start -
             -                               WIN!
                 -                         -
                        -                  -
                             -             -
                                 -         -
                                    -      -
                                     -  -
If you don't get what I'm saying it goes like this. Yami always acts CRAZY calm and confident in the beginning but then the opponent seems stronger and he starts to "lose". At the way bottom is when it looks really bleak for him but then of course, as the hero, he finds a huge loophole and smacks it in his opponents face, regaining his confidence. Oh I probably should've added the part where he pulls a "I have no mouth and I must scream" on his opponent. AKA he gives them a punishment worse than death. Which to me seems WAY more evil than heroic O-o

Exhibit A: Yami traps Kaiba inside a card causing him to be traumitized by hallucinating he's being eaten alive by monsters. =_=;

May I remind you this is exactly what KAIBA and later Bakura does to show their evilness? I guess they realized that since this part never got on American TV. The art here looks very either American or just, like, old fashioned to me. Kaiba's face looks like the face they use for jokes in comedy nowadays.

Ok so the differences I noticed in this battle (which I guess is just an altered version from the battle we see in the beginning of the anime. Was that:
1. Yami was the cause of the monsters materializing
2. Kaiba only had ONE blue eyes
3. No exodia
4. Yami used reborn the monster
5. Clearly this ISN'T the same battle

I give this chapter a 6/10 because WTF whose the good guy in this manga?! Ouo

Chapter 09 "The Start of an Era"

Hi there! I felt like doing a manga post for once, just to try it out. Right now one of the mangas I'm reading is the original Yu-Gi-Oh! mangas which I think may be better then the duelist mangas. They're more harsh and bleak but I think they stay true to the characters more. Plus Yami's a bit sexier =3 Anywho apparently this chapter is "where the REAL Yu-Gi-Oh!" begins and the rest was just character-developing filler. I wonder if Takahashi Kazuki planned to have the card game be such a big part of the story because before they came along it was one different focus after another. This chapter didn't seem much different from the other because it ended with an opponent (Kaiba) and a shadow game with Yami. Well maybe he was just like "hey wait a minute I'd be rolling in the dough if I made this series into a card game..." Well whatever. This chapter started where the anime (well apart from season 0) started. With Joey getting into duel monster's, Yuugi's grandpa being cheesy and Kaiba being an arrogant rich guy. Oh by the way Kaiba is like really sketchy looking in the manga O-o It looks like he gets beaten a lot or something cause well...I'll just let my screens do my talking.

When I saw this I was like...Oh jeez it's the start of an era! If only they knew what they were getting into. "It'll be popular in Japan soon" hahaha.

If you can't read the tiny bubble in the corner it says that the blue eyes white dragon is SO valuable that some have killed for it...=_=; either this manga is full of moral corruption like most anime or they take card games WAY too seriously it's like TV tropes says "Serious. Business."

Kaiba's debut was a lot more abrupt and random then I expected...ewwww look at him =n= just ewww

And he just HAS to smile...That's one for the dead puppy count (Dead puppies: 1). What's with this guys hair? O-o why is it so ridiculously fat and mullet like? Of course it's nothing like Yuugi/Yami's hair. The latter of which I could barely fit in the next picture.

Can't touch this Kaiba...Can't touch this. See how the middle strand of hair doesn't quite have a spike? Yeah well that's what you get for all the hair gel Yami.

Alrighty! So in summary this chapter is supah significant since it jumpstarted the whole Yu-Gi-Oh! card game which was really big back in the day. I remember my neighbor had a duel disk system. Haha nobody probably even gave much thought to how it was from Japan and had a manga and was just as anime as sailor moon was. Anyway, one thing I noticed was that in this chapter the grandpa showed his friend from America in a photograph when he was talking about the importance of his cards. This seemed pretty significant but I don't think the guy showed up in the anime until later. Oh and another thing, what's the rarity index of Exodia? If the blue eyes is THAT rare I would think that Exodia should be too. Unless it's not and you just don't see it because it's "super hard" to summon.

I give this chapter a 6/10 because I think it went by kinda too fast and Kaiba totally came outta NO where! Ouo

Short update: TALES OF SYMPHONIA 2 IS EPIC WIN 8D

Longer update: OMG! So, this post is super delayed because I got the game on the 12th but hey at least that gave me time to start it. Ok so turning the clock back a couple years ago I could DEFINITELY tell you that TOS is my favorite game. I played it twice (well my friend played it like 50 times but hey I don't have time for that) and recorded every scene the second playthrough. I totally OBSESSED over Kratos and shared numerous inside jokes about it with my friend. Now this year on the 10th anniversary of Tales the sequel has finally come out. Does it please my geeky thirst? HECK YEAH! Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World is my favorite new game for sure for sure. It has tons of nostalgia packaged with beautiful graphics, voice acting, and GREAT new characters for my friend and I to fight over (mostly Emil in that sense -u-;) I was nervous that I would end up hating the monster system and so-called "atrocious" voice acting but I totally disagree with all the neative reviews. Of course even if it does suck if you slap the "tales" name on I'll eventually buy it (-cough- tales of the tempest -cough-) but this was the sequel of my all-time FAVORITE game! How could I not buy it?

I tried to buy it on the day it came out but the stupid Game stop, Circuit City, Walmart, and FYE I went to didn't have it TT___TT I had to settle for the day after but needless to say I didn't care anymore when I actually started playing and fell in love. I especially enjoy the very full voice-acting and the gorgeous new characters. My favorite two new charries (not together) would definitely have to be Emil and Alice. First of all, Emil in ratatosk mode is HOT! His voice and cold-hearted-emo-ness is to die for (along with his red eyes.) Second of all, whimpy Emil is cute and a nice break from the usual main character. It's also interesting how Lloyd is his enemy because it's almost like playing the first game from a different perspective.

Alice is just awesome! I knew I would like her just from her design. She's SO cute and I love her outfit/weapon. She has a great voice and is almost yandere with her cuteness contrasting her sadistic tenedencies. Did I mention I like sadists? Oh well might as well throw that out there as well. They make stories interesting don't u think? I also really like her cute nicknames for people especially "Martmart" ^-^

Ok, I could really go on for hours on this games awesomeness but I'll just end with my love for the new skits. unlike Tales of Legendia's failed attempt at humorous skits (plus they only had like 20) th skits in this game are not only voice-acted but ACTUALLY funny. Hmm I guess the American game industry is starting to understand what it's fans want. I would be suprised if somebody skipped the skits because they really move on the story.

P.S. I'm on chapter 6 in the lightning temple <3

(NO FAIR! NO FAIR! NO FAIR! Bella is SOOOOO lucky >____<)

Hehe...So! Yes. I saw Twilight on its premiere night, Friday, fun no? ^_^ Just the fact that it was the premiere night added a lot of excitement to it because the audience (which had 5 boys in it) was super enthusiastic! Even at most of the trailers everyone would go "OOOOH~" At the beginning of a harry potter trailer everyone screamed and at the end they clapped. I was among those people because the trailer was freakin INTENSE! Now I'm super excited for harry potter XD haha anyway, Twilight itself was AWESOME! I don't care what you negative nellies think because I think they did a REALLY good job with adapting everything and of course -cough cough- having really hot actors helped a bit...Here's some memorable moments during the movie:

- Seriously, ANY part with Edward Cullen (whose actor's name I'm too lazy to look up) the whole audience would go into fangirl-land (well the girl audience.) Before the movie I personally thought he was ugly but for some odd reason seeing him in motion was 100% different and I fell in love. Every scene with him I was totally under his spell and goo-goo eyed ^__^;; it's kinda sad...I felt bad for Jacob who didn't do much and I gotta say there was A LOT less fanfare with him (poor guy.) Plus his hair was very girly o-o

-The parts with Edward vs. The Blacks were hilariously narmish and western-like and likewise the baseball scene where James and gang were snarling at the Cullens was a little embarassing

-SPARKLY VAMPIRES! 8D Wasn't justified till my friends said that was from a dream Stephanie Meyer had...speaking of which, was she in the movie?! I coulda sworn I saw her...

-Awkward man =D lol I thought the interactions between Bella and her dad were wicked cute and her dad was very lovable. Meanwhile, I liked Bella's awkwardness (social-wise) because I found it very relateable U-U *nod*

-Jasper "who looks like he's in pain" HAHAHA XD I cracked up at that ^_^ the only Cullen who really annoyed me was Rosalie but that's obviously intended. Anyway, Alice...wasn't anything like I picture her. But that's because I always relate the name Alice to blonde girls XD;;;

-Any bachelor than Edward I felt super sorry for TT__TT;; because I just felt like "ew go away she's Edward's" and then immediately was like "Ack!? What am I saying?" I especially felt bad for the human bachelors because they're obviously hopeless

-Bella twitching in agony. My friend laughed at her but I thought it was really well played and felt her pain because it reminded me of my hospital days...

Rating: 8.7/10 I ALMOST gave it a 10 but something in the back of my head was all like "Nooo~ think of all the brilliant movies out there~"

Edit: lawl why is the date wrong on that poster? 8D??

Yes! Woohoo! This is what I need more of. One of my favorite comedies is making itself MORE awesome with this "OAD" recently being released in Japan. It picks up as if nothing has happened with the same opening and ending as the second season but wait! What's this? The opening's ten times cooler now? WOOT! Oh also the first episode was super funny ^__^ It had violence, cosplay, millions of anime references, neck training, and a micheal Jackson joke. Oh and it also had a random return of the drawing song XD the drawings sucked hahaha

I'm kinda wondering why Rin was in his class o-o; anyway I HAVE to post the opening =D NAO:

Ready to reach a whole new level of creepiness? Apparently I am! =D haha this show is really odd .___. I do like Akiba's character design and the fact that it's only 5 minutes long but this is obviously slice-of-life at it's lowest level of entertaining-ness. T_T; Although, I really feel bad for it because people are giving it really bad reviews and it's because it's not AIMED towards them! It is only a kids short afterall TT__TT;
I think it's an interesting experiment in animation =D and the characters are cute. I also like the opening which is strangely not on youtube O-o; oh well =D crunchyroll is helpin me out!

Alright! Everyone! Say it with me: Awwwwwwwwwe >w<
Animal Crossing the movie was the cutest movie EVER! X3 I loved it. It really gave me the warm fuzzies, just like the game does. I think that the reason I loved it so much is how true it stays to the game. It had the same music and everything! Even KK sang the same way he does in the game XD lol

The movie tells the story of Ai the little girl in the middle. She reminds me of my gamecube avatar and I thought she was a very admirable cute character. She quickly makes friends with Bouquet and Sally (the Elephant and the kitty) Bouquet was my favorite character. She had the cutest little voice (I especially liked her "chiki" catchphrase) and there was one part that she was in that I cracked up at. I also liked the little boy because he wore the same outfits I do in wild world hahaha XD minus the beard. It did the best job of making the game come to life. There was actually a sad part when Sally moved away but I was kinda like pfft cause people move away all the time in my game and I never give it much thought. But in a way I know how she feels because Static (my favorite AC character) just moved into my WW town and I know he's gonna move soon TT__TT I will miss him...o-o the cherry pie referrences were kinda weird because they made me think of the song cherry pie XD; hahaha

The fossil was pretty intense =D

Rating: 10/10 8D because that's the best they could do with what they've got

;_____; I finished it! I really finished it >___< it's so sad. Normally I'm happy to finish an anime but this time I feel like I'm really gonna miss it. Marmalade boy was the cheesiest, soap opera-est anime I've ever watched and I loved EVERY minute of it! Ok the thing I thought that was most interesting about this show was the ENORMOUS love triangle going on with both Yuu and Miki. The whole time u know they're gonna be together but they just keep shipping them with other people for the heck of it! Anyway besides most of the cliches the basic plot was pretty creative I suppose. The whole parent swap causing Yuu and Miki to live together was pretty original. Anyway, I can't get over how many pairings there were lemme just list them out:

Yuu-                    Miki-
Yuu+Anju           Miki+Ginta
Yuu+Suzu            Miki+ Kei
Yuu+Arimi          Miki+Micheal
Yuu+Jinny          Miki+Yuu
Yuu+Miki

Other Pairs:

Meiko-                         Arimi-                      Brian-                 Bill-
Meiko+Satoshi          Arimi+Yuu              Brian+Jinny      Bill+Yuu (haha not really)
Meiko+Nat-chan      Arimi+Tsutomu     Brian+Doris      Bill+Anju (according to Jinny)
                                      Arimi+Ginta                                         Bill+Jinny

The Final Tournout:

Miki and Yuu obviously became a couple and "got married" Meiko and Nat-chan got married in the last episode and Arimi and Ginta were still dating. The other pair suprised me, Jinny and Bill, I was really hoping Bill would be gay but when characters clearly state another character is gay the way they put it I suppose it's obvious it's only a rumor. TT___TT Jinny was kinda a freak O-o especially that episode when she danced off her anger XD. Anyway, Tsutomu, Micheal, and Suzu ended up loveless for obvious reasons but I think with Satoshi, Anju, Kei, Doris, and Brian I think it was suggested they would soon find love. I kinda liked Suzu cause she was cute and really nice to Miki in the end but Kei just ticked me off =_=

Ending: Meiko and Nat-chan's wedding is what Marmalade boy and it was really touching. I don't quite undestand if Yuu and Miki really got married or not but it was definitely suggested and in the end it was a very satisfying show ^_^ I think it was nice that instead of having 76 episodes of Yuu and Miki going through random adventures (i.e. filler) they had the whole cycle of couples and SO many fights it kept me getting angry at the screen saying "WHY CAN'T THEY JUST BE TOGETHER DX##

Rating: 8/10 very entertaining but still SO cheesy
